Forest Play

Little Ones

Little Ones is a fully outdoor parent-and-child nature enrichment program for children newborn to age 3, designed to nurture early development through connection, movement, and sensory-rich experiences in nature.

Together with a parent or caregiver, children explore the forest through play, storytelling, music, movement, and hands-on discovery guided by experienced Forest Guides. Each gathering encourages curiosity, confidence, social connection, and early developmental growth in a calm and supportive outdoor environment.

Our youngest learners build foundational skills through meaningful experiences that support language development, motor skills, sensory exploration, and a lasting connection to the natural world—all while caregivers build community alongside their children.

With unhurried mornings in the forest, Little Ones offers a gentle introduction to outdoor learning the River’s Edge way.
